Homebase Acquired by Texas Company Quext

Kansas City-based start-up Homebase has been acquired by Quext, as reported in Startland News. Homebase’s smart home platform allows residents and property managers of multi-family buildings to remotely control home access, lighting, and thermostats. Last year, Homebase partnered with Walmart to provide keyless in-home deliveries. Homebase will continue to independently as a product, according to a joint press release issued by Homebase and Quext. Homebase founder Blake Miller said the acquisition will allow Homebase to make “a significant leap forward for our delivery map.” More details are available from the Kansas City Business Journal
