According to TechCrunch, “Healthcare data is a mess and Metriport is here with a broom.” In a recent article, TechCrunch interviewed Dima Goncharov and Colin Elsinga, co-founders of Nueterra Capital portfolio company Metriport, about the company’s purpose and journey to a $2.4 million seed round at a $20 million valuation. Metriport helps digital health companies access and manage user health and medical data through an open-source and universal API. Their Health Devices API allows companies to connect to users’ wearables, remote patient monitoring devices, and mobile health apps. According to Metriport’s website, a forthcoming Medical API will allow companies to access user medical data through a Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) native API.
