HealthJoy Publishes Report on Member Health Goals
January 31, 2023 / Nueterra Capital MarketingNueterra Capital portfolio company HealthJoy has published a report that shows employees are more committed to addressing short-term health goals than they are long-term goals, like managing chronic conditions. According to an article in MedCityNews, the report was based on a survey of 2,534 respondents who are employees of HealthJoy customers. Among the report’s findings: while almost half of American adults have hypertension, a condition that accounts for $131 billion in healthcare costs annually, only 14% of the survey’s respondents have a health goal of managing their blood pressure. HealthJoy CEO Justin Holland explained how the report can help influence employer health benefit choices. “It’s not just to maintain cost and not just for a benefit. You actually have a person that you want to thrive and be healthier.”
